Dr. Weintraub has been voted "Top Dentist" for the past several years and was tied for first place in 2016 among general dentists, based on peer votes in the Baltimore Magazine "Top Dentists" annual survey.

Dr Weintraub has lectured internationally and been published regarding his expertise in the utilization of the Solea dental laser (Convergent Dental). Dr. Weintraub teaches dentists during hands-on seminars and is a trainer for new Solea dentists. He has presented and demonstrated Solea's clinical use at international dental conferences in Berlin and Cologne Germany and in Toronto. Most recently he has taught laser dentists in Italy! He has been published regarding laser dentistry in publications such as the International Magazine of Laser Dentistry and Dentistry Today.

Dr. Joshua Weintraub has spent more than 20 years practicing dentistry in this community, which has allowed him to develop long-term relationships with many of his patients. These relationships, many of which have become friendships, make Dr. Weintraub’s days rewarding. Each morning he comes into the office knowing that he’ll not only be meeting new patients and learning about their lives, but he’ll be seeing established patients and spending time hearing the latest news about their adventures and their families.

Known for his compassion and his ability to deliver professional dental care without pain or stress, Dr. Weintraub is highly sought for his skills in working with apprehensive and nervous patients. His gentle manner and his comforting presence help reticent patients relax and know they are in excellent hands.

Education & Continuing Education

Dr. Weintraub graduated in 1992 from Clark University in Worcester, MA. He majored in biology and was active as a volunteer emergency medical technician and president of Clark University E.M.S.

Dr. Weintraub graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1996. At Maryland, he was president of the local Alpha Omega chapter and was active as a CPR instructor. Dr. Weintraub started his dental career in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps as a lieutenant in Okinawa, Japan. He spent a year as the dentist to the 2,000 Marines of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and traveled aboard the ship USS Belleau Wood to Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, Bali, and Australia.

Dr. Weintraub is proud to have been awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his service.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Weintraub spent a year at the Washington Naval Yard Dental Clinic in our nation’s capitol.

Dr. Weintraub attends numerous hours in continuing education courses each year, in order to stay abreast of the latest technological and treatment advances in dentistry. This ensures he is able to provide his patients with leading-edge, proven dental care. He is also an active member of several dental study clubs, which allows him to collaborate with peers.

Personal Life

Dr. Weintraub is a native of Fairfield, CT. He loves to spend time with his kids while making time for cooking (and eating!), fishing, and vegetable gardening, and on occasion he gets to scuba dive too.
